He's on IN the IT department, but is in charge of it. He is my boss's boss.

Does he understand that curtains and what not pose tripping and fire hazards?
I could understand getting some sort of cable management that has your logo on it. But to attempt to hide cables with a curtain is ridiculous.

I'd say find cable management sleeves that you can either have your logo put on (maybe, not sure who would do this) or just basic cable management sleeves in general.
Wrap the corps up and be done with it.

haha.... Is your server room visible to the outside or something?
If so maybe you can have datacenter pictures printed up and put on the inside of the fish tank so it looks like Amazon's Datacenter.

@nerdydad I think just cable management in general would clean this up a lot. Get some velcro cable ties and go ham. I personally have to have everything extremely neat. I am OCD about everything I do in relation to that though. I even do specific patch cable colors for specific things, but that's just personal preference.

Real data centers want to hide that they are datacenters. Little data closets want to pretend to be more than they are

So, this is the telecom wall of my server room.
The CFO wants us to clean up the server room and have it more aesthetically pleasing. We have a plan for the server and switch racks, but this wall is just an eyesore.
I thought about a wall of cabinet doors that is about 6" to 1 foot away from the real wall and would be all open on the inside. The boss shot that down and wants some kind of fabric blind on both sides of the ladder and would fold out to cover the middle. He also wants to throw the logo on the fabric blinds.
Any suggestions?
There's just so much shit on that wall there's really nothing you can do except hang a blanket in front of it all. A short one up top, and another to get hte rest below the ladder.
I wouldn't build anything there...
