Ha it's "you're" not "your" dumb asses. . . otherwise the tat looks great and made my think about what she was trying to say.
God it's to early to be trying to interpret these things..
FFS, it's "too" not "to". :face_with_stuck-out_tongue_winking_eye:

That may not be a mistake... You don't know what she's into.

Does anyone use anything to manage shower times?

Just take a phone in with you if you have a water proof one.

I have an echo dot connected to a Bose speaker that has a battery. I put it in the bathroom when I need to remind the kids to get out.
But generally, it is not a problem.

We did something like that with a bluetooth lightbulb in the bathroom. Connect from the phone and talk through it.

So no one here uses any of those shower timers or temperature controllers?

What purpose do they serve? other than the previously mentioned - kids stop screwing around - one?

Kids stop screwing around in the shower, taking 45 minute showers etc.
As pounding on the door or turning the water off (from the control in the basement) seems like over kill. Something that trickles the water after 8 minutes or so or changes it to cold water maybe.

Interesting - No kids in my house, so this is a totally non issue. As an adult, I can take as long a shower as I like
Installing something like this would be a not insignificant undertaking because you'd have to tap into the hot water line, not the easily accessible showerhead. I'm guessing this would require drywall work in most cases. A lot of effort/expense.

No drywall work in my case as I have access to the plumbing from my basement (ranch house).

Nice - definitely not the case in my two story.

There are also shower-head options, these however require batteries. Which I'm not sure I'd like that approach.
I'd rather the shower just go cold, or start to trickle after a certain duration.

Of course, this however isn't the issue in my house, I have a foreign exchange student, that has been starting to take excessively long showers (draining my hot water heater) and is otherwise being a pain in the ass.
So I'm looking for technical ways to correct this behavior.
