Another US Ebola Case
-
Why anyone would want to go to a Cowboys game in the first place though...unless they play the Giants or the Broncos...then it's all good.
-
OH yeah.. and the meds could have been brought to them for a hell of a lot less cost than a special quarantined plane, and all the other Mega expenses to bring them home.

Sure this is serious and I wont' get into the "politics" of why it was brought here to begin with but I do wonder...what is going on here?
The Cowboys dont' play in Dallas. They play in Arlington. That's really far away. The airport isn't in Dallas either.

A quarantined plane? Now that would have been a good idea. The only exposure was from a guy flying over on his own in a normal plane.

and apparently the medical professionals don't have the quarantine quite perfected yet...

To me, this is like the american family who was caught in Mexico last month after a storm rolled through and destroyed the city.
http://www.dailycamera.com/superior-news/ci_26548721/superior-family-stranded-mexico-after-hurricane-odile-hitsFor some reason the family felt it was the US Gov'ts responsibility to get them out of that country - the American's who contract Ebola seem to be sorta in the same guise.

Supposedly they didnt' even have official procedures!

Well, the owner is a Coyboys fan with seats two rows from Jerry Jones. Hard to say "no" when he offers them to us...especially when the last time I went, my STEELERS were playing!
Here's my wife at the last game we went to with Jerry watching the game:

You'd have to sit near Jones? No wonder the tickets were free. That is one of the most hated men in Dallas.

I'm talking about the guys who were known to be infected while over there, and they were brought back to the US for treatment.

Yeah, that's a bad idea too. At least they did not cause outbreaks.

They could have just as easily "not cause outbreaks" while staying over there too. It would have been much less expensive to pack all of the equipment up and send it there, versus what did happen.
Anyways - I should just drop it.

Good quarantining should include keeping people where they are.

I hear you Dashrender...I had the same opinion but others thought that was not compassionate enough...I realize this is a very bad virus but I hope it is overblown like these other flu's they like to scare is with. But then again, does this lend credit to those FEMA camp conspiracy theorists?

Ha, well, our owner is good friends with him. Our owner is a major Democrat so he is always hob knobbing with Clinton when he is in town. He has a lot of clout...

He's not hated in Dallas because of his politics, it's because he makes the city look bad and used his money to pay off the Arlington government to destroy a neighbourhood. He did awful things to the poor people who live in that area.

If you make it to the game, stop in at the Arlington location of the bar that I frequent (to the point where a year later the staff still texts me) ....
The Arlington location is nowhere near as good as the Lewisville one but it isn't bad. The Arlington location is the one where MTV shot their reality TV show. But they staffed it with the waitresses from Lewisville.

Well, not because of Ebola, I had to return the tickets due to some family events being rescheduled that weekend...going to make it to a game next year...but I'll check that place out...was going to go to my first Dave and Buster's when I was there too...

Redneck Heaven is a Dallas landmark now. If you have the time, go to Lewisville and email me before you go and I'll see who is working and line up a waitress for you. Waits to get in are often 45 minutes and we've seen as much as five hours (for real.) The longest I've ever actually waited was four hours, but that was a special event day.
