Opinions on good cloud backup?

@guyinpv I'm just asking because if this is for home and you have a decent amount of data to back up... it may just be best to bring up some crappy desktop somewhere with a few drives running FreeNAS. You can back up to that via iSCSI with whatever backup software you want. This may be cheaper and easier than "cloud" if you have a lot of data.

This does nothing to get it offsite, which is the point. It is cheap and easy to make solid local backups.

@jaredbusch I tried mklink but doesn't work with BB.
I didn't know you was referring to CP.Thanks for the info.

https://spideroak.com/That supports Windows, Mac and Linux. That’s more of a Dropbox competitor than backup.

I think I’m just going to be buying CP Pro. I only have around 1.5-2TB (and growing) that’s backed up but I’m at the point where B2 would be about the same price and only get more expensive. I have no Windows systems at home so I can’t do the normal BB.

I think for now I'm going to go with Crashplan business, mainly because it's 75% off. I'll push this off for a year and save a few bucks. My user folder and my data drive are just over 500GB so not a huge backup, but still, CP is currently dead and waiting even a week to backup to BB hurts a little. I do have O365 so I've got 1TB there. I actually store some Windows user folder (docs/music/images/videos) directly into OneDrive. I just don't want to use it as a "backup" in the fuller sense of the word. It's not exactly protected from crypto and would be a huge pain to recover from.
