There's a topic here for spoken language with Duolingo, why not one for programming language, SoloLearn.

We can link up there as well and learn some basics on your choice of popular programming languages.

I started with PHP, and will move to JavaScript next I think. I will personally get the most use out of PHP, which is why I chose that one, as will never be building apps.

Well, I've got a little over 3 hours of waiting on a 3d print to complete at the moment, guess I'll check it out.

A battery case, to go along with the electronic control board mount and cover. It's a large battery as it's going to be driving a large number of WS2812 LED lights. Holiday display controlled from my computers/phones/tablets.

@travisdh1 First 2 lessons of python in, and I still can't type on a phone screen keyboard. SoloLearn seems good tho.

Well now that is interesting. I will try this soon. I find the number of users fascinating too. From the way a lot of people talk, they say c++ is mostly dead even though I know that cant be true. On this site it has the most users by far. This sort of proves it so all that talk I read about is probably just marketing for their own favorite language or platform.

Even as much as I like c++ I still wouldn't have thought that many people would be actively trying to learn it from a single site.

c++ is far from dead, most people just don't realize that is what they're programming in. Arduino sketches are the thing that comes to my mind in this instance.

It doesn't actually prove anything. Reasons include:

                      • This site does not reflect the industry. C++ is still a very much alive language, but nothing like this site would suggest.
                      • Education never reflects industry.
                      • Often people confuse C++ as the current form of C, which is the actual language that is most popular.
                      • C, Objective-C, C# and other things that people often confuse with C++ are not available, so people may be taking "what they can get" rather than thinking that they will actually use the language.
                      • C++ is not broadly used on any platform. C is what is used mostly on UNIX. C# is what is mostly used on Windows. Within the C family. C++ is indeed, rapidly rading as a fad whose time has mostly come and gone.

Well, Arduino Sketch is a C library that C or C++ can call. So no, Sketch doesn't imply C++, nor is it likely, nor is it reasonable in any case where someone doesn't know what they are doing. C would be the default choice.
