Eggs at Aldi.... four dozen for $1.96.

That's expensive. Eggs are $0.17c a dozen here (at Aldis)!

17 cents for a dozen eggs... damn... it's been a while since I bought eggs, but I think I paid well over a $1 for a dozen the last batch I bought.

Yeah. It's absurd (but I'm not complaining). Makes it easier to justify an egg sandwich every morning for breakfast. Just need to get another pack of Hawaiian sweet rolls and I'm set for a day or two.

My dad went out and got about almost a dozen egg-bearing chickens that will produce an egg about every 1-2 days. All he has to do now is buy feed for the chickens, give them a hen house, move the hen house every once in a while, and water them every once in a while. I have no idea how much chicken feed costs or how long it lasts though.

My parents have had chickens for a bit more then a decade. Being in upstate NY they generally stop laying in the winter so you lose out on 3-5 months of laying but you still have to buy them feed. I'm not convinced it's cheaper at that rate but my daughter loves to watch them and they do keep the bugs down around the yard.

In Texas, we barely get a winter, so they can just about lay eggs year around down here. Never heard of them eating bugs, but I guess that makes sense.

I have a baby gecko running around my house that I am trying to persuade the wife to keep loose because they eat bugs, but she's just not buying it.

Doing a comprehensive port scan on my UNMS/UCRM/Debian 9.1 server. Seeing what I need to close in the firewall.

Waiting on the HVAC guy to come check out our potentially dying server room AC unit. Been getting temperature alerts for 2 days (over 85F).

I try to have at least a little bit of humor... it's not often or much... but.

What project are you working on?

@gjacobse Display TV's for Zabbix and our MPLS portal.
Just trying to get things to display right, update the dates (on WatchGuard dimensions report), also an automated setup so If I'm away and one needs reinstalling there's a set procedure.
