That's when it's nice that in Texas you can just shoot them.

If you weren't going to say it, I was. In Texas, if they're on your property, then they are already trespassing, which gives you a right to shoot as you are "Standing your ground". If they're on the road, there isn't much you can do but to keep a watchful eye and "go squirrel hunting with a 12 guage". Can't help it that they were down range from you and the squirrel.

That's expensive. Eggs are $0.17c a dozen here (at Aldis)!

17 cents for a dozen eggs... damn... it's been a while since I bought eggs, but I think I paid well over a $1 for a dozen the last batch I bought.

Yeah. It's absurd (but I'm not complaining). Makes it easier to justify an egg sandwich every morning for breakfast. Just need to get another pack of Hawaiian sweet rolls and I'm set for a day or two.

My dad went out and got about almost a dozen egg-bearing chickens that will produce an egg about every 1-2 days. All he has to do now is buy feed for the chickens, give them a hen house, move the hen house every once in a while, and water them every once in a while. I have no idea how much chicken feed costs or how long it lasts though.

If you like eggs that'll be a decent investment. He'll likely have several dozen eggs before long and won't want eggs any more.

                      Then he'll want fresh chicken.

My parents have had chickens for a bit more then a decade. Being in upstate NY they generally stop laying in the winter so you lose out on 3-5 months of laying but you still have to buy them feed. I'm not convinced it's cheaper at that rate but my daughter loves to watch them and they do keep the bugs down around the yard.

In Texas, we barely get a winter, so they can just about lay eggs year around down here. Never heard of them eating bugs, but I guess that makes sense.

I have a baby gecko running around my house that I am trying to persuade the wife to keep loose because they eat bugs, but she's just not buying it.

Eggs at Aldi.... four dozen for $1.96.

That's expensive. Eggs are $0.17c a dozen here (at Aldis)!

Wow, Aldis here it is $.49. Bought them yesterday.

Doing a comprehensive port scan on my UNMS/UCRM/Debian 9.1 server. Seeing what I need to close in the firewall.
