Right click start, choose apps and features.
Click on Programs and Features on the right (or if window size is too small, scroll down to see it)
Click Turn Windows Features on or off (this is where you will need admin password).
Check Hyper-V and click OK.

Apparently i dont have enough space for a fedora dual boot.. @JaredBusch do you have a walkthrough on how to use hyper-v?
You just "install the Hyper-V role" under roles.
He couldn't open device manager, he doesn't have access to install roles.
Roles are not under device manager.
oh ffs. . . are you on your literal high horse today? . . .
This has nothing to do with being literal or not.
You were telling him to look in the wrong f***ing place.

Even Caramel (Jared's horse) knew where to look!

I never even got the the point of trying to install Hyper-V for him. It was Vbox doesn't work, you can try these alternatives, Hyper-V, KVM, XenServer etc in a dualboot scenario.
A lot of people are using KVM on the forums, you can ask there if that is what you want to do.
So all of you can pound sand!

I sure did. I rock on Hyper-V.

@DustinB3403 gave me options, i chose the try to dual boot. Its not his fault @JaredBusch, this one would be on me.

What is wrong with virtual box? sounds like you never setup networking in your other thread. did no one confirm that?
-
You might think, being Jared's high horse and all, that I'd be virtual. But I'm not, I'm a literal horse. Not like a Type-1 Horse-V that just appears like a horse.
-
Type-1 Horse-V is bare back, of course.

Virtual box runs fine, then once I get done with the install it freezes. How would i check networking setup. Refer to @Dashrender 's reply. I am literally new to IT ( most ive done is what @scottalanmiller refers to as 'bench' work)

Of course, with a mane of Fireball!

Fresh install of Win10? Virtual box locks up>? that is odd.. can you take a look at the event viewer? Anything sticking out there? Have you hit the latest and greatest updates from MS?

Hold on. Lets back up here. Is virtualization enabled in the bios/uefi for the CPU? That could be part of your problem.

Yes. I encountered that problem a while ago and got it fixed

Are you giving enough CPU & RAM to the VM?

By looking at the properties of the VM.
You should probably find a walk through guide that walks how to make VMs in what ever platform you're trying to use. That guide will answer this starter questions - and keep JB from giving you so many FFS's.
