I really don't have a "preferred" all that much. I'm using Gecko on my desktop currently and Ubuntu on my laptop.

@black3dynamite i'm guessing so, I've not had a chance to test it out.

Most Linux assistance tools are VNC somewhere in the chain.

I was reading somewhere about the remote assist being built in when I was googling around earlier about remote desktop solutions. I guess a couple years ago they started building it in.

I thought it was actually code from Chrome Remote Desktop that was mentioned rather than VNC.

Weird, I wonder how that all works. Very interesting.

That would mean uninstalling chrome will break it.

Makes sense. And Chrome is the sole default browser, as well. So that explains a bit there.

doesn't use LibreOffice by default but ops for the WPS Office instead, which is a change of pace.

Does WPS Office Free still have ads?

                                        Look at a Mac desktop...

                                        http://www.adeepbite.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/2588305828_1437196081-1.jpg

The similarity kind of ends at the "bar of hotlinks at the bottom". But stylistically the Mac is pathetic. That weird 3D shelf, the bizarre reflections, the cheesy icons, even the default wallpaper are all terrible from a design aesthetic. Sure you can change it all, but functionally and aesthetically the Mac doesn't hold a candle to Deepin.

Not necessarily disagreeing with you, but that is an old version of OSX.
