Is this still the way to install on CentOS7?? How about upgrading to the latest?

Or should I cut my ties with CentOS and come into the real world and start using/learning Ubuntu

XO builds on Ubuntu, they don't test anywhere that is not Debian. I would stick with Ubuntu.
