@JaredBusch probably the best show ever...
Nope. Not ever. I am quite familiar with the author and the premise of the books. I read a decent sample of book one years and years ago and said nope.
I am an avid reader of the sci/fi and fantasy genres, with a library of ~1000 physical books, but I do not like that series.
What would you put above Game of Thrones? I don't agree in a general sense but it may be a good opportunity to find some great material
I honestly have trouble figuring out why the show is as popular as it is. Fun to watch as a reader of the books but context is seriously light on the ground in the show.
I had a coworker who was super into the show at like 2-3 seasons in and didn't know the names of 1/2 the characters. Which I totally understand. They are in such a rush to hit the major points they barely let you get to know anyone.
I had zero issues remembering characters. I think that just has to do with the person honestly.

I've made it up to season 4 of Supernatural, to episode 15. I'm going to have to get the next couple seasons ready on my Plex box soon. It will be a sad day when I get to the end of the full seasons, though I do have Iron Fist on deck, and I'll need to catch up on Agents of Shield (I'm always a season behind).
I canceled my DirecTV subscription. Just not using it....

I haven't heard great things about Iron Fist, but I hope everyone is wrong.

Mixed reviews. It was also the most binge-watched show when they released it.

Same Marvel formula. Confused, but powerful, main character goes to fight evil. Finds out what he believes is wrong. Sort of. There's a betrayal of some kind. Then a twist. And there is someone you just hate.
On the plus side Faramir is the villain.

We've yet to start Season 12 of Supernatural yet. Also need to catch Grimm Season 5 and 6.

Saw Wonder Woman this weekend -
What was so awesome about it? Why did the internet love it so much?

The whole DC universe in movie format is a giant fail IMO. Marvel was never my favorite for comics but they are crushing it. DC movies are like a fart in the wind.

Just over a week until the next Naruto DVD set is released.

The late 70's and 80's Superman were pretty good.
The 80's Keaton Batman (only the first movie) was, to me, great. The Christian Bale Batman movies were pretty good (except that last one - ug, and well deep throat Batman was pretty bad too)
-
@Dashrender The 89 version of Batman was pretty good, except for one thing. Batman kills people in it. Lots of people in fact. Shoots them with his batplane, knocks that one guy down the at the top of the church and he falls a thousand feet. Cuts the cords on the joker's balloons, making people fall to their death. Oh yea, and the Joker.

And? Batman isn't Superman - the non killing super hero.
I really know nothing about Wonder Woman, but damn - she was killing fools all over that movie!

@Dashrender Batman has never killed anybody. Superman does all the time

It's Batman's thing. He doesn't kill people, ever, except in that movie, and some of the New 52 novels that take place in alternate realities.
Wonder Woman has no problem killing, neither does Superman, especially enemy soldiers. -
@Grey that site just blew up my browser.

Wonder Woman has no problem killing, neither does Superman, especially enemy soldiers.I think the big difference is with intent. Superman and Batman both kill or cause the death of many people, especially in fights with collateral damage. That was the whole point of Superman v Batman, since Supes was unintentionally the cause of Manahatten's destruction. Batman has been responsible for the same types of things, but then if you look at Injustice, Superman gets completely unhinged because of Lois' death (when she gets pregnant) at his own hands under the influence of the Joker, whom he kills out of revenge, and the realization that just elimination of his foes is a better alternative than catch & release. The injustice story line is actually one of DC's best IPs and they put it in to animated format, which was wise because all of their live action is crappy. I highly suggest you read that if you have any interest in comics or just reading at all.
