I'm close to starting P90X. They discontinued the p90x protein bars and I'm looking for a good alternative if any of you have a recommendation. Thanks

Two hard boiled eggs and a pint of water.

Just saved you a zillion dollars.

Trying to stay away from the cholesterol

There is less cholesterol in an egg than the trans fats we generally consume (Mayo Clinic)

Yeah but I would be on a serious diet

In that case, and while I don't know or need to know the circumstances - if it is at 'that' level - I hope you are consulting with your physician.

I asked some of my friends who are doctors (I worked in the operating room for a long time)

Very recently I had 6 months worth of diagnostics done on my heart. They were testing for Long QT syndrome which runs in my family but I went through the ringer entirely. My cardiologist recommended a fitness routine and I printed out all of the information for him. Once he read it he said it's good but I need to exercise for a few weeks before I start doing it

@wirestyle22 Your best bet is don't eat junk food, count your calories, and start walking. You don't need to worry about macro nutrients and strict workout routines for a long time until you have done the above for at least 6 months to a year. If you need any more than that, you need to sit down with a physician and work with them directly. There are 1,000 different diets, and ways to do it. There is not a best one one or right one, or a best practice, sorry. They all work, just find one you can stick too and do it, no exceptions, and give it a few months. You will feel better.

                This. This. This.

I went from 350+ pounds to 175 pounds doing this.

Not quite, it's like the beer commercials. Stop eating junk food and marry the Japanese model.

I know that if I addressed the 'rock in the room' I would do a lot to address my issue.... Some days I drink two cups of coffee and then two - three 20oz bottles of Mountain Dew.

Not enough water or other - no really a water fan...

I like iced tea a lot as a sub for other flavored beverages. I drink mine unsweetened so as to get the most benefit. Also still going to have some caffeine in if you do black or green teas. Could soften the blow of coming off the stuff you usually drink.

I started brewing Kombucha to fill this role for me. Bubbles, flavor, but low sugar, low alcohol, low cal.

Have you tried stuff like Le Croix or other flavored carbonated waters? It'd give you that same fizzy feeling without the calories and plus the hydration.

No I haven't. And my first thought would be - ah no. But looking at the ingredients - maybe. I don't like artificial sweeteners... and honestly - they don't like me either.

True, but when you're downing 40+ grams of sugar, the artificial vs. natural debate kinda goes out the window, especially in a discussion of weight loss.

You don't like artificial sweeteners but you drink Mountain Dew? 😕

They have it with natural sugar!

True, but when you're downing 40+ grams of sugar, the artificial vs. natural debate kinda goes out the window, especially in a discussion of weight loss.

Well sure, the whole thing is loaded with chemicals like crazy.
