@marcinozga I saw only in Facebook and Whatsapp only.Seeing an accident in front is horrible than hearing the news Right!
SW has a number of people getting infected, and more that know of people getting hit.
-
Zero issue here. We also have port 445 and 139 closed at our firewall way before last Friday.

Lol, that explains it. Facebook or Whatsapp users aren't the brightest, so if it's IT professional posting about their infection there, no surprise they got owned.
-
@Tim_G and I were on a thread in the last hour of some guy who has now decided that his "mission critical no downtime" servers need to start getting patched.

He's talking about where he's heard OF the infection, not who is affected. He's just interested since he's not been hit, to see if any of us had and what the attack looked like.

Huh. Never mind that the highest up time environments actually schedule updates and reboots reasonably. That came from skunk works people that ran a true HA environment back in the 90s. Yes, they were allowed to talk about the compute environment, but they never said where, who, or what they worked for, just how.

Yeah, I'm thinking that this guy doesn't know what mission critical is. If he thinks his servers like that are mission critical, my laptop would blow his mind!

I was in the process of writing an analogy comparing that to patching holes in a submarine... but it started to get so cheesy I deleted it LOL.

No, I've not used Wine is 15+ years. I avoid OS-specific applications (beyond obvious OS specific support utilities) and have for a very long time. I have not had a "Windows app" that I needed in forever.
