Can you provide additional details on the steps you took to install Appium? Did you follow these steps?

        What errors are you encountering?

Well you'll need GitHub working. Can you teach it from a browser?

@scottalanmiller the user needs to install the software from GitHub through command mode only and it is the process to be followed

@Lakshmana Which command is failing? Is it npm install -g appium?

Are you sure that the user opened the cmd prompt as admin?

What error(s) are you encountering? Be specific.

@Danp npm install -g appium is runned in CMD as Administrator only.the proxy refused connection are seen as error and some logs are provided in Nodejs at C drive.
Now I am out of office I can't able to provide the logs now!

The issue is 100% access to GitHub. Even mentioning the app at all is a red herring. Until Internet access is fixed, everything else is pointless.
