I don't touch technology. I enjoy working in the yard, remolding my house, etc. I just want a nice yard set up so that I can work on technology in a variety of environments. Well, then just get one of these: http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/07/22/samsungs-105-inch-curved-uhd-tv-priced-at-120000 And you can work in any environment.

@Tim_G is that the one that people are hacking now with the MAC exposure?

We would, actually, like to set something out there up with a projector so that we can do outdoor movies at night.

Although it will be quite some time before we have enough done to make that viable. It needs a LOT of work.

We could get a keg and invite everyone over for a crazy day of backyard renovations, lol.

Hotels can be expensive, even when you have a corporate discount.

 I like this.

@scottalanmiller said in Looking at Ideas for a Grassless Backyard: I like this. Yeah that is a really neat and good use of space that otherwise would be wasted.

Building that would be super simple too.

@NerdyDad me too. We love fresh herbs. Sage, lavender, rosemary. Rosemary grows great here. I'd love having some big rosemary bushes like we had in Italy.

Catnip is a controlled substance. Make sure you encase it with 16 gauge or sturdier caging. If you don't, all the cats in your neighborhood will be your best friend.

@scottalanmiller said in Looking at Ideas for a Grassless Backyard: If you have flat areas, sure... But that design leads to quite a bit of landscaping needed on a weekly/monthly basis.
