I really expected the Webroot installer to allow for embedding the key-code - at one site the installer we use does this... but whenever I build a new installer for another site it does not include the key-code.

Even going through the Google suggested pages results in the same thing... Installer asks for code.

      What step am I missing...

I think you have to edit the MSI to put the keycode in. I can't remember off the top of my head but I believe that I used Orca to put the keycode in previously.

When you download the installer from the portal, the file name should be keycode.exe. If you have multiple copies that have a (1) or (2) etc at the end of the number, just remove those. Is your download named something different?

Yes - but only because I change the name. Curious,.. have to re-download and try again. Thanks

I like that they make it easy. You were just thinking too much, gotta watch that 😉

That said, it is also extremely simple to install with a keycode as a parameter.

How/why did you go all south on this I have no idea. These instructions are right there in the portal.

I deployed with a BAT file originally, before I made my standard images. Here is one example.

                  REM Server Group Install
                  \\server\share\wsasme.exe /silent /key=SA3B-YOUR-KEY1-HERE-EE34 /lockautouninstall=somepassword /exeshowaddremove /group=2928509553360002652 <---group number for custom group in portal.

I was installing directly into different groups with different settings. No need to move things in the console later.
