Ah there it is. in the blog post. The pricing page is not reflecting this yet, even though the blog post references it regarding the features.

Interesting. That's still really cheap for a VPN.

@ajstringham No it is not. That price increase ONLY gets you the apps. that is not enough of a value add to be worth more than double the price. Potentially ADConnect would be. But that is not related to the VPN directly.

I have people voting down my **** all the time, and for no good reason. I wonder if a bot is doing it, but then again, I doubt it. Just jerks doing it is all.

                    I don't consider this a good price. Office365 at $4/user/month is a great price,

The basic plan pricing is staying the same and 10 devices will remain $29. So that is $3/user/month. Less if paid annually. The old business plan price is staying but being added to the basic plan. So no appscape services. The old Business plan pricing, I was also happy with.

I'm slightly confused. Their website currently shows $49 for 20 devices, and you get everything for that. Am I right in thinking this will soon double in price?

It's never nice when a start-up doubles it price. Their current pricing page does say "Introductory Plans & Pricing" which suggests an intention to increase prices once they get popular.

I might stick with Hamachi for a while. $100 a month is starting to get a bit expensive for VPN. What is ADConnect exactly and when is it coming out of beta?

Also, is an iOS app likely to ever appear?

@Carnival-Boy the website pricing has not been updated yet. The pricing is in the blog post which I linked and also provided a screenshot.

What they are doing is taking all of the current business plan price points and making those Basic plans.

They are then making new business plan price points at double-ish the old.

So you can still get a 20 device plan for $49 after Oct 1, but it will be a basic plan not business. This mean no access to the Appscape stuff. At the current time, that is the only difference between business and basic that I can see.

A few months back when I was talking with one of their reps on the phone for a short interview it was mentioned that they were looking into extending different tiers of service in order to expand reach. I'm not entirely shocked that they have increased their prices a bit, but they are also offering more services now with the more expensive plans, which are probably going to be bought by businesses that require those features and can pay more.

@Carnival-Boy a little secret...iOS beta will be announced for October.
@JaredBusch Your explanation is perfect. Pricing is fine for small business today and your customers aren't using the apps so you don't want to pay for them. That's exactly what we're doing. Increasing pricing for businesses that consume apps.

When we launched the original pricing we were solving entirely different challenges than we are today. Anything "more advanced" required some creative minds (like SAM with the original AD integration). Now we're providing those for businesses that need them.

Hope that helps and looking forward to seeing you guys next week!
