Right but this was voted on a partisan divide. These were the people (and the donations they received) that voted in favour. I'm sure Dems also received money from ISPs... but their vote was probably a bit more expensive.

If dems had the majority, this bill would probably have not come up for a vote. This is what you get when you vote republican, bunch of old farts that can hardly turn on the computer making decisions that defy all logic and benefit corporate overlords.
Btw, the votes were along the party lines on this 50:48. -

eh, the fact remains that appflash exists even if limited in opt-in testing on a single model phone.

verizon did this to see what the backlash would be. Expect this to be mandatory on all their phones within a year or two.

Sprint already remotely installs apps on their Android phones. Had one install right in front of my eyes. I could uninstall it, but it would be back. Can't disable it either, which sucks.

If Verizon starts installing stuff on my phone I'll root it faster than you can say Supercalifragilisticexpialodocious. (It takes me longer to root my phone right now, cause I just upgraded to a Pixel XL after my Note 4 fell off my holster and became a brick).
