Just finished up lunch here, and you had reminded me about something from Tesla... They're supposedly doing a tractor for a tractor trailer rig. They're actually doing it right, I'd be floored if I wasn't already sitting down. The generator is natural gas, which is actually available for road vehicles now, unlike the hydrogen model I've seen around before. The price point is actually reasonable, and the performance, well...
Its power specs are daunting:
320 kWh battery pack
2,000 horsepower
3,700 lb-ft of torque
6% incline speed up to 65 miles per hour
0-60 under load in 30 seconds
Up to 1,200 miles of rangeNow that's what I call a truck.

Well, that is the assumption most people make about electric drive vehicles. Silly, but people are silly.
Think about that 0-60 time tho, that's an 80,000lb vehicle.
