Hi, in my experience, I've seen different network monitoring like Cacti, Zabbix, WhatsUpGold, Paessler, and many more. Correct me if I'm wrong, Cacti being used almost in any ISP, I mean whenever ISP's customer asks for mrtg access, ISP provides a cacti graph. Zabbix, one of the best opensource and most commonly used by some enterprise, WhatsUpGold a paid application which has lots of features as well and add-ons, as well as Paessler. If you are to choose among these great products, what will you guys choose?

      Thanks
      Jeff

We use Zabbix but not fully. At the moment we only do ping host to see if it's live 🙂 one of my 2017 projects once the new MPLS is in place and the server is moved to the DC we will look at other features/powers 🙂

I'm a huge Zabbix fan. We run Xymon here ( https://www.xymon.com/). It's not too bad either.

Hobbit! I know a few places that use that.
