Ha I interviewed at a place where they ran VirtualBox on Server 2012. Kind of chuckled when I read his company uses a type 2

I'm guessing it's the workstation version. I'm also guessing he didn't blacklist the nouveau driver before installing the other ( I don't know if it will even let you install it with the other loaded). He did something funky.

We do use that, we use RHEL Workstation with NVIDIA.
