I consider myself a human being, but, of course, there's always space for doubts. Just wanted to share the news, hoping that it might be interesting for community.

Will the integration work with NextCloud, do you know?

@scottalanmiller at the moment the app works only with ownCloud, but to tell the truth everybody's asking for Nextcloud, so a separate app for it will be released soon

Yeah, everyone I know (like us) have moved to NextCloud already. There is an AMA here in the community with NextCloud tomorrow, too. ownCloud is nearly dead from what we can tell. We used to know lots of people there and now... no one. The company went from active to silent overnight. Their website says that they are still around but in practical terms it seems like a ghostship now. All of their US office was liquidated so they have no interface there at all anymore.

@scottalanmiller well... we were asked by the members of ownCloud community, who said that ONLYOFFICE editors and ownCloud is the match made in heaven, and we got many other requests that sound really inspiring. But now we can see that interest for NextCloud is way bigger. We are doing this integration too

Mostly because ownCloud split and nearly everyone (staff and customers) became NextCloud. So it isn't so much that it is bigger, but that it is what ownCloud was. ownCloud basically morphed into NextCloud.

It looks like there is a workaround:

i changed the max-version in .../Nextcloud/apps/onlyoffice/appinfo/info.xml like this:

that make it able to install

everything work ... instead of saving
if i reopen the file i see my changes ... but if i download it there is no change
crazy

--> i make my document server reachable from outside (ssl - lets encrypt)
and after editing a document the callback seems to work :slight_smile:

It's been a while, but I'm doing some testing of this now. Big deals for us include the addition of mobile apps which some others are lacking.
