I've never even turned off the DHCP server because I'm not using that subnet.
Actually that doesn't matter. If you had a USG, DHCP would be provided on that network with those addresses, as it's the USG that acts as the DHCP server, not the controller software.

those settings are for the USG or a unify switch those have nothing to do with an AP directly

That is actually something I very much dislike about the unify controller now. I have no way to disable all of that crap if I'm only going to be running access points.

Do they really effect the performance of the controller (system)?

No, there's no effect to performance - but someone unfamiliar looking at it might think there is something going on when there isn't with all of those settings.

it was limited only via the GUI. If you created a JSON file on the controller in the correct location, you could do darn near anything a EdgeRouter can.
The GUI is finally catching up with the features.

No, there's no effect to performance - but someone unfamiliar looking at it might think there is something going on when there isn't with all of those settings.
That's what I was thinking.... I saw it on my controller here, and immediately disregarded it...

I'm pretty sure you can actually fully control the APs through the CLI and JSON files. I think you can use the CLI to tell it where to get the JSON file (a none Unifi controller), but damn. .talk about pain.

I didn't realize you could use the config files for the APs. I've only used the busybox shell for joining the controller. Makes sense that it would use them though.
