Call cost research

I am doing a little research for a project and I was wanting to collect some real world numbers from some people.
Legacy Calling
- How much does your trunk cost you?
- If you have POTS, each line is a trunk.
- If you have a PRI, the entire PRI is your trunk.
- How much do your calls cost?
- Example: You have 5000 minutes of long distance for $50
- After that 5000 you pay $0.03 per minute
VoIP Calling
- Hosted per device plan
- How much per device?
- Is calling unlimited?
- If not, how much per minute?
- How many concurrent calls?
- In house or hosted PBX
- How much per minute for calling?
- How many concurrent calls?
- How much does your trunk cost you?

@JaredBusch Here's my current pricing:
http://www.vitelity.com/services_voip/In my area, Spectrum (formerly Time Warner) offers digital lines with a POTS hand off for $29.99 each with unlimited calling if you have their internet.

That is a single line phone. I know of no business getting that deal for multiple lines. Maybe there are now. that would be a sweet deal.

Before taxes, my single POTS lines cost like $26/month Taxes can add as much as $10 per line.

What is long distance like on those? or is that bundled with your other services?

We have a hosted voip it is about 600/month for 40 users, works with softphones and no call limits. Even works for our Sales guys in Europe and Pakistan. A bit too much i suppose, but i didnt set it up and mgmt is happy we arent paying for 50 POTS any more, because that was thousands a month.
We also still unfortunately have 3 pots lines from C-Link at a cost of 300/month or so. We need these to dial in to some old equipment our customers still need support on. I think the cost/month/line includes unlimited long distance calling.

I just had them quote a customer this rate for 4 lines. Unlimited calls in the US.

Any fine print on the unlimited? Because I have clients on Charter Voice (Spectrum) and they are not getting these rates, nor was anything close to this offered.

One thing you may want to add to your research is length of contract / if there is any kind of contract requirement at all. For POTS lines, there is often a contract term. It's similar with PRI (normally years on that one). There's no doubt a contract can come into play with SIP trunks or hosted VOIP, but as you know, many providers are strictly month-to-month. That contract length and potential termination fees play into the overall cost in my opinion.

@JaredBusch I went back over it and the fine print and that pricing is for customers that are not current customers or are adding services. This is month to month pricing.
