Dang, sounds like I should really be an electronics/air flight engineer for Amazon about now!

Awesome!! Reminds me of when I lived in FL near where they put the Goodyear blimp. It was so cool seeing that fly nearly everyday.

I say to hell with drones and parachute the items! It would look like a mini Normandy invasion!! 🙂

Balloons, even those with propulsion of some sort, are still slow. I'm guessing that's why they are also doing the drone thing. The big balloon thing in the sky has all the things, while the smaller/faster drones actually deliver things.

@Son-of-Jor-El I used to work by The Airdock in Akron, OH. Largest freestanding building in the world, or it was for a long, long time. The people that worked in the building said it cost like $2000 in electricity to close or open the doors.... all I could think was "Get a new motor!" We had to deliver to a side dock instead of the main dock inside the old hanger.... yes, they had 8 truck docks inside that thing, but it would rain inside that main building.

Well the entire airship isn't going to dock at your house to deliver a toothbrush. That would be crazy. Even if it moved twice as fast as a normal drone it wouldn't work.
