gotcha, so not just a single closet.

In that case, wall warts it is. Just connect the wall-warts in the existing closet and move the Ethernet to them.

the camera has a 12V DC power supply. Do I need a specific POE injector? I'm assuming I do.

If the camera has a power supply, you do not need power. there is no other reason for PoE except to power the camera.

It has the option of one but we don't have something to plug it into (they are very high up). I have only ever set up a POE injector with the UAP and thats made for it so it didnt require any research

You just said it has a 12VDC power supply. Either it is using 12VDC or it is using PoE, not both. Which is it. FFS, stop and think a minute, then clarify WTF you are trying to ask.

I'm looking at POE adapters here: https://www.ubnt.com/accessories/poe-adapters/ I see that there are different voltages. I'm assuming I have to make it higher than 12V and I'm okay?

No, that is not how that works. Are you trying to simply fry everything?

You need to get a PoE injector that matches your voltage and amperage requirements for these devices.

                    Not just anything..

These cameras will have a voltage and average requirement on them, find injectors that match, buy those and install.

Yeah. My confusion comes from the fact that the specs page just says POE and 12V DC. Reading the manual.

@MattSpeller I do not continue to help people that do not listen. I am freely giving my time when I participate in threads like this.

This time of mine is the ONLY way I get paid. So giving it freely is not something I squander.

                                      The manual has this information:

                                      WV-SFR311 DC power supply: 12 V DC/340 mA/Approx. 4.1 W

This is what you want to look for. With POE transmitters, shouldn't be too hard to find.

If this is the case why did you say you had 12VDC?

You do not have12VDC power. You have PoE only. and you injected a random bit of info from the manual about using 12VDC to a PoE discussion. This would be a problem.
