      Dears,
I am looking for the availability to restrict any outbound calls from certain extensions for a specific time , for example i want to ban any outbound calls for a number of extensions after 6 pm.
Is there any possibility for that ?.

      Thanks

You did not mention what version of Elastix. There are three major versions that are all very different.

You can normally do this using time rules. I've never done that for this direction, to stop calls, but that should be very doable.

This guide is written for FreePBX but as Elastix 2.5 uses the FreePBX system as its interface, this should directly apply.

              http://wiki.freepbx.org/display/FPG/Time+Group+User+Guide

Notice in that guide it has you set up your time settings. Then at the bottom there is a link to where it shows you exactly how to do it for outbound routes, just like you are looking for.

You will use that guide to setup the time condition and then you will make a new outbound group also.

This outbound route will have the caller ID section specified in the dial pattern setup so that the extensions you want to block are caught by the route.

Here We can do it per Extension :

Yes, but that is getting way beyond Elastix and into raw Asterisk programming.

What was said above was reference of how to handle it inside the GUI itself.

Both methods work, but dropping to manual editing of configuration files should normally be avoided whenever possible as that makes it harder to use the built in tools for backup and recovery.

Also, upgrades will often over write manual changes like this, meaning you have to remember and reply them after updates/upgrades.
