I don't have the space for a "lab" anymore, but here is what mine looked like way back between 2003 to around 2008:

I wish that I had pictures of my old lab from the late 1990s. It was pretty crazy. Huge old metal table with a low of green screen CRT 386 and 486 Linux machines.

Network portion on the wall has been setup for a while now, but just installed the electric and ran a wire for the rack piece this weekend.
My rack is a full size rack, cut in half and welded back together with the help of a grinder, a welder, and a few drinks.

Not likely,.. maybe out in the office space maybe.
If you look closely you see server racks, power euipment (maybe AC). So ya, that is a dataroom.
If it is just the internal office dataroom and not the colo, still......tisk tisk. -

Can anyone recommend a rack that is similar to this that I can just buy instead of weld? lol. I need one for home.

Well, most of it is equipment so old I wouldn't put in a production environment anymore. Still, great home/play setup.
Errr what does too old even mean? We have G2 HP Servers still chugging along here.

@Tim_G Nah. I have a Dell PowerEdge R510 running 24/7 and I barely noticed an increase honestly. That's with a half rack with switches, ERX, UPS, etc.
