Moving on....

My job will be Vulnerability Manager so I will be looking for vulnerabilities on the network using certain tools such as Nessus, Port Scanners, etc.
They want to start implementing Red vs Blue internally and they want to have me help out with that once they decide to start it.

The CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) course showed me how fun it is.

I've dabbled in a lot of the tools that course mentioned. Getting some test prep training from an online classroom. I may try to get the cert if the company will pay for it.
How much was your test?

Through EC-Council it was $2400 which includes the voucher. after they give you the furniture sale discount. That is for the live instructor led class which I recommend. Eric Reed was my instructor and he gave us a google drive with everything. VMs, course material, videos he made, penetration testing templates, all hacking tools, practice tests for the cert exam etc.
They also offer iclass which is $1800 and includes the voucher. I am sure they have a furniture sale discount on that, too.

Cool. We're going on an online, non-live training course. It's still been really cool. Not quite as much hands on type stuff as I'd like.
I'll have to find out how much the test is by itself, it would seem.

I think it is $500 or $600 and you have to send in documentation proving your security background.

Wow. Sounds...interesting, considering I don't really have any official security background. It was all "other duties as necessary" at my last job, lol.
