    EdgeRouter PoE high CPU usage

      OK I think it's VPN related. The one in that post was ospf and the one today is static routes. My guess is something on the VPN tunnels and it's routing is flipping it out. Those protocols of course aren't vpn spefic but something tells me it's likely routes from the vpns somehow causing it.

                sudo ipsec stop kills all the tunnels but makes no difference to the CPU issue.

                  I deleted the old traffic control policy and implemented a standard fq_codel policy with no effect.

                  I disabled the traffic analysis. no effect.

                      @travisdh1 -- Maybe he should start with something simple... like a reboot? (I haven't seen him mention that anywhere).

                        The entire reason it came back up is that the unit rebooted itself (crashed) at 1300 CDT yesterday.
