This is stupid. When are they coming out with G string?

They already have that. It's how everything is tied together πŸ™‚

Yes Google is giving its Apps for Work a refresh today, adding new features and renaming the entire collection into the simpler and decidedly more gangsta β€˜G Suite.’

Google says the new name better reflects its mission to β€œhelp people everywhere work and innovate together, so businesses can move faster and go bigger.”

          I just received this email.

Not sure what their point is in rebranding.

          I could... but I'm not.

          Confusion?

Strange new branding... At least they didn't name it "G Spot".

Yep, no proof G Suite exists either. 😁

πŸ˜† What plan did you go for on G Spot...

On a serious note, I think Google Apps sounds better then G Suite.

              Kinda sounds like 'Je Suis'.

G Suite = Gangsta Suite. The rebranding is to show how absolutely gangsta Google really is.

More like Gansta Sweet, an alternative to Stevia.

I can just imagine the conversations I will now have to have when I recommend "G Suite" for businesses. I am going to steal @RojoLoco name as Gangsta Suite and then drop the mic and walk away.

Skip to :51 for a Canadian explanation of "keeping it gangsta". Very NSFW.

The name change makes sense, but the name G Suite is just terrible. I can understand Google not wanting people to confuse Google Apps with Android type Apps. Because they really aren't just apps they are an office suite.

Even Google Suite would have been better. Or just Google Office (unless that is trademarked).

The irony is that I am sure they spent thousands testing the performance of this name change. It makes you wonder what the other options were...

Probably a sickening amount was tested on focus groups. They must have only focus tested on the hip millennials who think saying Google is too much work. I'm sure they are now saying G it instead of Google it.
