Hey I wanted to let everyone know that Hannspree/HannsG monitors may say they have a warranty, but you can't contact their warranty department anymore.

Apparently A&D Electronics is no longer in business, which was their US warranty site in California? Also most of the OEM's support emails are bouncing back (including EU support)

The monitor we purchased had a 1 year parts and 3 year labor warranty. We purchased this monitor in August 2014 and recently it started smelling of burning plastic. So we attempted to contact warranty support and were unsuccessful. So we contacted NeweggBusiness and they are replacing the faulty monitor for us!!! One of the reasons I love Newegg so much! They always take care of their customers

sorry for the brevity, very busy at work, but wanted to make everyone aware.

What do you expect for a crappy no-name brand?

Them to fulfill their promised obligations. But I wouldn't have called HannsG/Hannspree a no-name brand, they are definitely low end but their brand has been around for quite a while and they make decent monitors.

They are a chinese no name brand. and they are not decent monitors. HannStar is who is behind them all, and they have several other random brands they use.

I've used HannsG monitors in the past, and they are a great value item.

Large screens, for cheap. Not as if you'd buy them for the CEO or anything.

Sucks that the warranty company has closed down for em though...

different opinion is fine, posting it as fact and directly contradicting someone without supplying any sort of evidence or conversation regarding why you think they are wrong is dumb.

It is your opinion that a random Chinese shell company is a name brand. You can have that opinion all you want. But others are perfectly allowed, and even expected to have their own opinions.

im not attacking anyone at all. he can have his opinion, but you should always be willing to discuss differences instead of just shouting contradictory information and expecting people to accept it as fact. He just wants to say, no, youre wrong instead of giving any kind of reasons or explanation.

different opinion is fine, posting it as fact and directly contradicting someone without supplying any sort of evidence or conversation regarding why you think they are wrong is dumb and does not contribute to the discussion at all.

My feeling aren't hurt, just trying to get him to add some substance to his posts to make them relevant and remove them from the shitpost category. if he wants to add to the discussion fine, but shitposting should always be frowned upon.
