Lots of yummy things that @Nic and I can eat. As well as lots of Rochester/Buffalo things as well. there will be a late night side trip to Nick Tahoe's for garbage plates.
Garbage plates!
It's been 12 years since I was a nick tahoes. Are they still open?
Heck yeah. A big group of my friends goes there every year. They were just asking me today if I was going to make it. They are such a tradition in Rochester, can't imagine them closing.

What days are the panels? Will there be panels on Saturday?
Saturday is just a Hang Out/Networking day. The hope is to go to either Letchworth park or Niagara Falls (your votes decided). Lunch/dinner etc. This will be the really relaxed day of the conference. Not a necessity but fun none the less.
Depending on what I can get flights for, I'd bring my wife in for the weekend.
That would be awesome. If there are enough Wives that want to attend maybe I can set up something they would like as well for during the week days. Let me know if enough of you are bringing spouses along. I know that @ataylor14 would be willing to help me out with this one
I would love to bring my wife. She has wanted to go on my trips with me, but there is never a chance to do it . I always tell her there is nothing for her and she would be bored. If there was a bunch of spouses that could hang out together that would be cool. She wouldn't come to any of the actual classes, just after parties.
That would not be too bad. The after parties are pretty casual.

They are, but they aren't. Today was a great example. You and I spend more than an hour talking tech, I think Dominica nodded off a few times
I'm sure my wife would like to come along, but even with a casual evening, since she wouldn't know anyone, casual conversation might be a challenge.

You and I are extreme examples, though. Look at the Victoire parties... there were a lot of hard core IT people outside, but there were some pretty non-IT conversations going on inside, too.

A Curtis reading is not an IT discussion (the outside group).
The proper use of Hershey's on s'mores (the inside group) was horribly important. -

What was horrible about the breakfast? And the snacks? Not enough? Tasted bad? Those were all things I couldn't taste test for you all
Thursday breakfast was cold. f[moderated] that.
Friday had hot food. That was good.Snacks were basically the leftover pastries from breakfast until some point after lunch. Then some cookies (that tasted like crap) showed up for like an hour. Then they poofed again.
If it wasn't for the snacks that you had on the NTG table, there would have been nothing worth snacking.

I didn't even know about those until late.

sadly, conference cookies are rarely worth eating.

Quite true... I had some of the most awesome cookies... sorry... they were all mine!

I was very happy they had coffee almost all day long if not all day.
That continuous flow of hot coffee was a godsend.

Were covered with some sticky goo. The cookies themselves were ok I guess. but i had to go wash my hands after picking one up.

These are cookies, not that crazy french dessert that is a stack of balls covered in spun sugar.

No more sticky cookies!

I was happy that there was plenty of food. I didn't dislike anything that I had, although it would have been nice to have more options than just the Greek yogurt on Thursday morning. I enjoyed the cookies and pastries, though I don't believe I've ever met a cookie I didn't like. The presentation of the food on Wednesday night did make me feel a little like if I ate much, there wouldn't be enough to go around. I think there was plenty, it just didn't feel that way during the serving.

I really liked them, but did not like the sticky drizzle on them.
