Just had someone come over to my desk and mention the porn filter isnt working. So, naturally, I googled for boobs.
While she was at my desk.
Porn filter isn't working.
Why was she looking up porn, or do you have some kind of reporting in place for when others look it up that she gets reported about it occurring?

If there is supposed to be a porn filter, she wasn't. She was testing the filter.

Excused. Turns out I know one of the witnesses in the civil case. Off to family reunion weekend

Well at least the judge won't have any sort of proof for the impending court case.

More of why marketing people should not write up IT stuff... SW posted a news item that Windows Server turned 20 today. But 20 years ago the fourth release of Windows NT server had just happened. Windows NT servers were already mature at that point. So at a minimum, Windows NT Servers are 23 years old if you discount any time where there were pre-NT servers or OS/2 servers.

How do people get it in their head that Microsoft is any good at support?

I've always wondered this. People often avoid good support and choose unsupported MS products because "they need support." Huh?
-
I don't need support. I need to activate Windows 10.

There is a difference?

I don't need support. I need to activate Windows 10.
Run "slui /4" from a elevated run or cmd window. It'll bring up the phone activation screen. Try that and get back to me.

Doesn't activate. Then I have to talk to Level 1 techs who confirm my Product ID, and have to transfer me to tech support.
Where it rings for 7 or 8 times, and then says "we are unable to take your call. please try again later" and hangs up.

Well that's annoying...

Yes.
Support is how do I use notepad.
Activating Windows 10 is ... hey I purchased this license and it's not working, get it working.

Um... that's all support. In fact, if anything you have it backwards. Asking how you use notepad is requesting training, not support. Asking them to support their own broken product is as support as support gets.

Just finished up another Linux Mint 18 install, as well. That is one sweet looking OS. And ZeroTier works on it!

Can you dual boot MINT and Windows 10 easily?

BAH I say.
You and your technicalities.
