Ten minutes and this is what the site looks like...
Fix the CloudFlare settings.
-
@Breffni-Potter you mean you fixed it? Unfortunately the site first load still takes time, now trying from my home and its just showing the same screen as mentioned by @scottalanmiller I am sure if i refresh the site one more time it will load properly. Did you try using any plugins like https://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/

I'll be trying to do some performance stuff for the site over the weekend. Sadly I'm out of commission for the next few days. Off to Brasov tonight, then Bucharest tomorrow, then Istanbul on Friday and finally New York on Saturday.

My boss will never approve a expense to a person. How does he know I am not splitting the money with @Minion-Queen, and take taking a couple of paided days off lol
-
This is a great point. My boss really likes an official flier, but printout from the website have been allowable.
Little things to keep working on for the future.
-
@Minion-Queen you should look at upgrading your PayPal account to a business account, then the payment would be in the business name, not your personal one. It very easy to do.
-
Yes and costs more.....

I'm willing to pay the higher costs.

Our fees are the same for Personal, Premier, and Business accounts. PayPal is free when you make purchases and when you send money from your bank account or PayPal balance. If you use a credit or debit card to send money, a fee applies. The sender decides who pays the fee.

This is not entirely accurate. If you have a business account and accept money, there is always a fee for incoming money, because you're a business. At least it was the last time I had that type of account.
-
Granted the fees might be the same regardless of account type.
-
For example, you sell something on Ebay, there's a fee if you use PP to receive those funds, because it's a business transaction.
Now all that said - @Minion-Queen are you not getting charged fees, or do you believe the fees are lower for your personal account if I send you money via a CC? or I suppose since it's personal, the fees could be on me instead of you.
-
@Dashrender Your confused. There is only a fee for credit cards (both personal and business.) What I posted came directly from the PayPal website.

Straight from their page. There is no talk about CC usage. Business pay a fee. Period.

No TAX ID would be a no go for us. It's required for financial audits

Eh? You require a tax ID from anyone you buy something from on Ebay? or you just don't buy one? Do you have Amazon's tax ID also? I'm guessing it's published somewhere?

I do find that surprising as the buyer to need the tax ID. But if you do need it in any of those cases, you just request it. It would never show up in their website or credit card system. I've never seen a Tax ID advertised like that. It's always by request.
-
You do all realize I do own GroveSocial/MangoLassi and do use a regular Paypal account like MANY companies and the only way you can get a tax ID and claim it etc. is to have a company fill our a W9 before you pay an invoice?
I have also told all of you if you need a physical invoice for your bosses that I would be happy to do that for you.

No. I did nothing performance wise
The site was thrown together in an hour with no optimisations because the most important thing was to get something usable live.
Performance can be miles better but there's no point optimising the site when it's on a temporary host. It needs to be moved, then optimised.

All payment gateways charge a fee if you are a business.
I loathe Paypal with a vengeance as they cripple small businesses with their involuntary audits where they can lock your money up for months. Stripe is much nicer
