What brand do you recommend? I want it to be networkable and rack mounted. 2200VA or more.

Seems like Eaton consistently gets the most love.

Eaton would be my go to. And for standby generators I would go with Cummins.

Absolute work horses for the two cases.

We are standardizing on Eaton UPSes here too... They're noticeably lighter than some of the (much older) UPSes that we are replacing, but they really do work well. We've had several outages where our new Eatons outlast Networking's new Tripp Lites.

That said, I'm also a fan of the Tripp-Lite UPSes as well.

The price point for APC and Eaton are similar but Eaton generally wins by a bit.

Eaton is good hardware and works well, as does APC.

              I personally recommend Eaton.

To each his own. I've had good luck with them, and they're not bad for keeping stuff up. (I have no experience with having them connected to the network or their software, etc).

I'm using OEM'd Eaton (IBM 3000VA's). Have yet to see one failing. Batteries on the other hand are just that, batteries, and need to be replaced at some point.

Online AG Xanto (you'll need to use google translator or something like that I'm afraid) is quite popular here in German - It's a German company.

In a similar situation. We've used APC for 1500VA or less, and Liebert/Emerson for 3000 for the last couple years but looking at Eatons and Tripp-Lites this time around as APC pricing seems to be a bit higher. Liebert pricing is very high all of a sudden.
