Surveillance NVR System?
-
Yeah Security DVR or OTA DVR?
If for OTA TV, Channel Master makes a great little unit.

Expensive but very reliable. Just don't buy their systems, it's low grade junk. Get dvr software and/or capture card and a nice Dell or HP server.
-
We use Verint DVRs. They seem to work pretty well. Verin't client software Vid Center works well.
Verint's server software OpCenter is used to manage multiple sites DVRs.
-
Why are you like looking at DVRs instead of NVRs.. Seems like you'd want to go with IP cameras these days..
Honeywell makes great security stuff.. Both video and access controls

Anyone on have a recommendation for a Surveillance DVR System? I have very little experience with them and I just got work that we need to order one shortly.
We only worked with BOSCH. Deutsche qualitat. Expensive
-
@Jason What do you recommend?
-
UBNT Security Cameras are really decent. I've used them and their pre-built NVR in the past.

They are locked in proprietary stuff last time I looked. I would not recommend them. Things like AXIS, Honeywell and Bosch are more standard.

It's been a while but we've had great luck with Axis.

That's true, good to know that isn't common in that field.

I'm using a synology right now and am actively looking at changing it. They use an NPAPI plugin that Chrome/FireFox/Etc won't allow to run anymore and on their forums all i've read is that they are not working on an update for this yet because it will be alot of work.
As far as cameras I am using Vivotek cameras. I like them.
-
@brianlittlejohn Good to know! Thanks!
-
Not to 'knock' UBNT.. but one thing I want is a dome camera for external use. Their's isn't.
Another camera system I have used is from Speco. I need to go back and look at them again.

for mobile access you have these options : viewEasyV2 and vMEyeSuper, i tried them both, for the DVR we have 3 ones brand ASPEN with recording, till now it works great but i dont think it is well known in US
