So anyone using KVM, when you create your qcow2 images make sure to use
preallocation=metadata. So for exampleqemu-img create -f qcow2 -o preallocation=metadata test.qcow2 10GThis gives you near raw/LVM performance on the disk. I just ran a test between two qcow2 images and it nearly doubled write speed.

Honestly, I was mad at first but it just proves their lack of knowledge and appreciation for my position. I know they're going to get hit with ransomware again when I leave and I'm telling you they won't recover. I've addressed this so many times I can't even feel bad about it anymore.

It's America, so I can guarantee within 10 years, at least 50% of all stores will have it.
What I don't get is they are on the hook if someone gets your CC number from swiping on their system. So it only takes one person to have their number stolen for it to cost more than just turning on the chip reader that already exists in their terminal.

I mean even Square has the chip reader and its bundled with an NFC reader for phone payments. And it's like $49. There isn't really any excuse.
