How is @jospoortvliet related to OC?

He is an engineer with the development team, I believe. He's definitely on staff there.

        Or was..

I'm sure he's just having a "feeling sheepish" day. It was likely an honest fight or flight response that most people have. As an engineer I doubt that he's had training on controlling and identifying those responses like you would hope sales and marketing people would have. I've worked in environments where they test your FoF response daily and try to get you to panic. It's called an amygdala (aka lizard brain) response. If you aren't trained to recognize it, you'll easily have devolving logical discussions without knowing you are losing the sense of it. Not that it never happens to me, but I've had training on it in some crazily intense environments. Specific training where I had to take a year of classes, that sort of thing.

I doubt he's in any trouble. But probably avoiding us today 🙂

@scottalanmiller In terms of installing OwnCloud, would you recommend waiting until aforementioned fixes have been applied?

I have had issues with 9.0 on both Ubuntu and CentOS. I am going to wait for some bugs to be ironed out.

The installer not working right. I've wiped the VM 3 times now.

They have at least updated the PHP warning to something intelligent.

                      0_1462658661057_upload-6b1aaea2-0b02-41b5-b213-ea8559343040

But the rest of the issues supposedly addressed after this thread was created are still not resolved. This is from a fully patched and updated 9.0.2 install.

@JaredBusch yeah, but the warning about the internet connection still has the old wording, that one - the discussion isn't finished, it seems.

Not sure what the fedora/RH thing shows or what is/isn't wrong. We did drop support for Fedora but the owncloud-files.noarch package should work almost everywhere and on any version of RH/Fedora/CentOS/etc
