Ya I missed the November part. I was counting exclusively.

Is my math wrong? 2020:11 - 2016:5 = 4years and 6 months yet of support? That's 4.5 years on the nose.

Ah ha. My chart showed 2020, just the very end of it 🙂

Still though, 4.5 years isn't that long. Considering it too almost 2 just to get from XS 6.2 to 6.5. But all this is moot anyway. I didn't realize Dundee was built on 7.

They probably packaged manually before so I'm guessing not much has changed, it's just you can get Xen from the repos any more with RHEL. You have to do some work.

7 on 7 🙂 There is really no way that they could not jump to 7 with the 7 release of XS.

Don't forget that the stagnation in the 6.2 era was because of the Citrix to Linux handoff.

I'm curious if we'll be able to perform a system upgrade when 7 drops, or if a clean installation is the only viable option.

They have mentioned that upgrades will be possible. But that XS only know about XS configurations, so third party software will not be migrated with it.

If you don't have any custom stuff. Which I do not. So WOOT!

I wonder what the VM migration process will be. If you have have 6.5 and 7.0 in the same pool then installing a clean hypervisor and Dom0 would make the most sense.

I wonder if you could rolling pool upgrade to 7.0

I wonder how this would effect @halizard configurations...

It's the Beta 3, not the Alpha.
