Trying to get motivated but it's a Monday and it's chilly and rainy here. I just want to read a book under the blankets by the fireplace today
Supposed to be 80 here today

Kicked of the off site backup machine at my local site here, 18% complete after 2 hours. Not half bad for a 1.3TB image on slow spiny rust. While that works it's way through I'm gonna head to the computer repair store where I know they have a working floppy drive still. (For those too curious for your own good, the secretary found a bunch of old disks. Guess who gets to verify that they are either bad, or no longer have pertinent information. Owner says jump, I say "That's all I can jump anymore.")

I wish it was only going to be 80 here. It's going to be 92 where I am and the ac compressor for the wing of the building I am in is out...

Our phone system just lost all dial tone (internal and external) rebooting the system resolves the issue. But this is the second time in 2 weeks.
Our Phone vendor (along with Mitel) believe it to be a firmware issue that is also effecting other customers.

That's unfortunate. Good luck getting this resolved.

What a pile of garbage. You can't run Ansible with a FIPS compliant device.
This feature enables the storage of passwords using reversible encryption implemented through a python library which is not FIPS-140-2 compliant.

The reasoning seems logical, no?

Dominica's high school friend (same class) didn't make it, his injuries were too great.

It really only hurts you because it only allows you to use certain encryption types that have been "validated" even if they are slower or possibly worse than others. Plus from what I've read, it breaks almost everything.
The only requirement to use it is for "sensitive data" which isn't what we are going to use Ansible for. We are going to use it for updates, templates, etc but can't since they use a not approved algorithm.

Hung out with a fellow grad student that I went to RIT with tonight. We had classes together but never met in person. I was living in Texas when I took the classes, she lived in Prishtina. Her home is just 1km from my hotel and she baked a cake for my daughter's birthday party.
