@scottalanmiller Well, considering I wasn't born until 1983 and it was my only 8bit computer, I'd have to go with the Commodore 64 as well. Space Invaders FTW!!

The Apple ][ really sucked but it is so classic. 1977... Hard to believe.

I was more into 16bit computing like Atari ST and the Apples iigs or the Macs. Then extra power made a lot of difference.

We were just talking at the office this morning that if chip development had ended with the Motorola 68030 processor that that would have been enough and we could have survived forever just on that.

Call it too much sci-fi watching or reading, but when a family member showed me the Tandy 1000 (not sure if it's an 8 bit). I was excited until after a lot of typing he stopped and said, ok now we wait. So went to do something else and when we came back he was excited to show me the screen looked like an image made up of letters. I didn't get my first PC until 97 and that probably explains why I love GUI more than command line.

ZX Spectrum. I will never love a machine as much as I loved that (assuming I'll never afford a Porche 911).

I've never seen a Spectrum in real life.

I always wanted one of these. Seems pretty silly now...
