Will be visiting Moldova soon, how long is the flight for you down to Chisinau?

I have a fear of flying, so I mostly drive or take boats (Queen Elizabeth II, et al). However, it's only a few hours or so by plane.

Thankfully I enjoy flying, other than the tight seats for my fat ass. Doesn't bother me at all. Athens to Bucharest was only 90 minutes! But I prefer ferries and trains whenever possible. I like the slow movement and getting to see the world go by. Helps me to connect to places.

Is there a Chisinau to Moscow express line?

No, and in fact it's actually faster to drive. I've only taken that train route twice or so and it takes a day and a half or so, but you can drive it in about 12 hours or less, depending on how much you want to break the law.

I never liked that show. I mean it was okay, but it wasn't great. It was so formula and cheesy. The two guys did a great job and were good presenters and made it fun in very small doses, but it was like House Hunters, there wasn't any real substance under it.

House Hunters you can summarise with: "I don't like this paint, so let's look at a different house."

And it's all fake. Many of the houses aren't even for sale and the people not buying any house! Like... actually completely fake.

You would think someone could create a real version of that show and put it YouTube. If it was really going to take off, it would fly there!

That's not a bad drive at all! How are the roads? How much of that is crossing The Ukraine?

Given that we are looking to buy a house over in cool countries right now, we've toyed with the idea of making a show ourselves.

What is CIS? I don't travel enough to have run into this term before.

I didn't know we, as Americans, needed an invite to visit CIS. Like Scott, it's on my long term list of places to see, but Australia and Japan are higher on the list.

It's the EU equivalent in the Russian sphere of influence.

Not bad, it feels so big on the map. I've done six hours across Romania already!
