Well, because it's network television in 2016, I'm going to guess a few things like:
- Not as intelligent
- Not as resourceful
- Dresses a lot cooler
- Less willing to think outside the box
- Does not have as many skills or experience
- Much, much younger with probably a token old guy they make fun of
- Everything scripted, even the quips and off the cuff remarks
- Everyone is going to be much more attractive and much more overdressed for everything
It's going to be terrible, just let it go. The only reason the original Myth Busters was good is because it was one of the few things which snuck by network executives, and they aren't going to let that happen again, they'll make all the improvements which they didn't get to originally. Here's how smart network executives are: Unsolved Mysteries (the original one) was a cheap show to produce, much cheaper than any drama, and was so popular it made far more money than many other more expensive TV shows. What did the network executives of NBC, CBS, and Lifetime all do? They cancelled it because as stated by both an NBC and CBS executive on separate occasions "the show was popular and profitable, but that didn't fit in with what we were expecting so we are sure the numbers can't be right."
And it's only gotten worse where even 15 years after the apocalypse (Revolution) people still look fantastic, young, fit, and wear tons of make up and have had recent plastic surgery. Yes, I know TV isn't real, but do you really think Seinfeld would be possible today? Even if it was possible, do you think people who look like Jerry Seinfeld, Jason Alexander, etc would be allowed to be central characters? I doubt it, they'd all be sent down the hall to live with Newman. And they'd replace Julie Louis-Dreyfus with Anna Kendrick wearing barely anything. And it'd be way unfunny.
I imagine, honestly, even Friends would not fit in, the women would be considered too fat and old, and the men too ugly and unfit, I can pretty much guarantee that, look at any other similar show since then, and the writing is much lazier and repetitious. And I don't even like Friends.
Not to mention this is a bigger thing in America than elsewhere, if you had East Enders filmed in America they'd be far less hideous, and I think it'd feel far less real and relatable. While it's true that good looking people are all over TV, overtly good looking people who cannot act and go past good looking into almost computer generated seems to be something American TV has been polluted with for the last 5 - 6 years more than ever. Compare people in similar TV shows from early 2000s and today, they look vastly different and often today have vastly less talent.
I do imagine that because of all this, Myth Busters will appear as it really will be, fake and garbage without any creativity, and certainly will not last as long as the original series.

It will never work. Mythbusters were great but it was Adam and Jamie that made it
They tried making House Hazars but it was forced and fake and was more about making big explosions than anything. Nothing very scientific about it really.

Yes, great example, that summarises my rant above much more succinctly, it's that overtly fake crap with no creativity just explosions. They took the route of "we've got a hot girl but two 'nerds' see, so it's legit! Even though they probably have no actual exceptional skills or experience."

I so wanted to like that show, but it was so f*** [moderated] stupid. I mean ignoring the pretty people because TV thing..
The initial episodes were cool, but once they started making electricity turn on in horribly unrealistic ways (the light house scene for example) I jsut lost all suspension of disbelief. Then once it was all revealed, the final episode of power coming on everywhere was just f[moderated]ing stupid.

I was disappointed the collapse of everything was over within the first 5 minutes of the show, no build up or anything. I watched about half the second episode and I gave up.

I never liked that show. I mean it was okay, but it wasn't great. It was so formula and cheesy. The two guys did a great job and were good presenters and made it fun in very small doses, but it was like House Hunters, there wasn't any real substance under it.

Yes, they already bought it, they just move out the furniture. I actually got a realtor who was on that show for House Hunters International for Russia, she hipped me to the program, I hadn't seen much before that. I never saw the episode(s) she was in, however. Hell, she may have just lied to me.

I should clarify it's largely because I don't like researching things because I don't have time, but the second wife does so actually I don't really do that much these days, but when I first started travelling I just sort of matched up with what was close to family at first and branched out. My travel plans also go along the lines of what places let me avoid visas with my Bosnian passport or my now-expired Israeli passport, and my frequently-formaly-seized in Serbia Kosovar passport, which nowadays they also just stamp over the stamp for Kosovo with one for Serbia on my Bosnian one.

Do you only have America citizenship, or what's up with that? Do American passports have visa-free travel in the EU or nation specific or whatever? I have no idea. I assume it's visa free across the board but I do get BS at border crossings sometimes in the west, so...

That's complex. Technically I'm a dual citizen but currently can only get one passport, US. So for travel purposes I'm just American. The US has visa free travel to a huge portion of the world (EU especially.) I get all of the UE, Balkan states, Central America, most of South America and a huge portion around the rest of the world visa free or "visa on arrival" like Turkey. US citizens, like EU citizens, more or less get to just grab backpacks and go, no forethought needed.
As an American I get six months, no questions asked, in Panama, Canada and the UK and one year in Albania!
