Where did you hide your Home Lab gear?

This is super ugly - will never get the wife's approve. This is nice http://www.amazon.com/OPENHOUSE-H318-Structured-Wiring-Enclosure/dp/B0002SPKS2/ But I can't mount anything to the wall.

I have a full professional office but in my house. I gave up hiding things.

 I recommend a dedicated closet.

My stuff is behind my TV in my apartment.

I've got it easy ... my home "LAB" is a Desktop running Hyper-V, lol.

Modem, router, and AP are all nestled in a book case and tucked behind my TV in my living room. My servers and everything else are down in the basement.

I've got an office. but stuff's just everywhere. my servers are only for testing, they're in a rack. network gear is whatever. i'm going to pro it up sometime this year. just an ERL and maybe a small ubiquity switch.

I ornately painted plywood and screwed it into my wall (behind TV in living room) as art. I then mounted a half-rack with my firewall/switch/patch panel. My place is a two story loft style town house so I ran cabling through a runner up the wall and into my bedroom where my server is (4 cat5e cables).

The hospital I used to work at had these plastic grates that elevated the towers off of the ground. I want to get my PC off of the carpet for obvious reasons. Any ideas? I have a glass desk FYI.
-
I have a wall mount Rack at home in a closet. Just some POE+ switches, Router, Home Automation Controls, Alarm System stuff, Coxial Distro and patch panels
-
Someplace that I don't remember, and now even I can't find it.
-
My network infrastructure basically looks like this. DO and Vultr VPS servers and Pertino networking.
-
What I have used for the last several years,.. both at home and in the office. In the last apartment we had, I mounted it to the side/back of a short bookcase.

It is located next to my cable modem in a cabinet beneath my TV. No wired connections anywhere, as wireless does surprisingly well in my house. I am currently planning a wired deployment, but I am seriously wondering if I need it anywhere other than my "computer room".

I have everything in one of the rooms of the house which is also my "office." Our basement sucks and my wife would never approve of having a rack server plus switches and cables anywhere other than that room upstairs.

Hide? Why hide your art.... would you tell VanGogh to put his paintings in a closet? Heathen.
