I have been tasked with installing Avast on about 100 computers. Other than Group Policy and PDQ Deploy, what other tools are available to make the install just a little easier.

If you have PDQ Deploy and Group Policy available, what else would you need? 😛

          See the last reply:
I've been using PDQ Deploy with the silent installer I downloaded from the Portal.

These would definitely be the kinds of tools that I would use. In what way are these falling short?

@alex.olynyk check to see if you can add the license file under "additional files". You might need some additional CLI switches to make it work.

Are you using the biz/enterprise version of avast? I would think the central console would have some kind of deployment tools.

@RojoLoco The boss does not want to deploy the central console until our new forest is deployed bringing everything under one domain

@alex.olynyk That is seriously ass-backward logic, but okee dokee.... your boss is obviously not very technical, so have fun with all that. Using a central console is the best way to do this, it will save the company time / $$$ in the future.
