Fear of not having net neutrality is already causing a loss of investments in US firms. All it takes is the threat, not even the decision.

Shouldn't come as a shock to the savvy. Who would blame an investor for pulling back when the rules are being changed at will? Little to no certainty in a market will always cause investors to play it safe.

Yup. Over regulation or poor regulation or slow decision making cripple markets.

@scottalanmiller The problem from my point of view is that we have non-technical minded people making technical decisions. You see the same dysfunction in the SMB realm where ignorant management makes technical decisions for IT without IT having a say, other than that they have to implement said bad decision. Nothing good ever comes of these situations.

              Also, soapbox time......

It will just be the next "We must fix" issue for politicians everywhere, because they have to justify their existence.

Money talks - hopefully this news will help get the point through to the FCC.

They are just testing the waters with test-phrases used with focus groups. The FCC isn't the only organization that's done this recently.

Experimenting to see how much damage that they can do before doing the real damage.

For some reason I keep thinking that it's a tactic from "The Art of War", something about being a skillful leader that subdues the enemy without any fighting...

Yes, Wheeler failed in that lesson 🙂
