LOl - OK fine I'll go down the rabbit hole.
The current speculation is that this thing doesn't eat an entire star, it only sucks off the out outer layer of the star (the part, according to them) that is currently blaze and emitting light. They are sucking off only the light emitting portion (a relatively small amount), and eventually the start reignites (or relights), etc.
Of course it's all just ridiculous, and a better idea should have been used.

I wondered that too, but thought that it only used PART of a star each time and the last one was using the rest of what was left in the star at the time.
