More or less you are asking for headphones that are like the universal translator of Star Trek. It's a neat idea and, in theory, Google can do this. However the processing power needed to do this in real time is immense and could not be put into headphones yet. As a concept, yes it can be done. In a practical sense, it cannot be done yet.

Can we create a replicator also?

I want a transporter before a replicator. We're getting closer to replicators with 3d printers, but they're still a ways off.

No. The replicators were the scourge of at least TWO galaxies. Please, don't create any more.

We did. They are called 3D printers.

And there is that whole moral issue.... does it "transport" you or does it kill the original you and just make a copy at the other end? Who wants to test that first? And who would the copy know if the original died or not?

What was the movie about a magician who found one of Telsa's inventions, and the invention cloned himself?

That movie has been on my watch list for far too long. I need to find it and watch it one of these nights.

They aren't anywhere near as fast or can print organic/non organic material at the same time. Or materialize it.

No, but they are getting there. They are getting faster and more capable quickly. They are printing all kinds of things. They aren't at the Star Trek level yet, but the technology is there. Heck, they've been printing HOUSES for years now!

I've seen the house ones, that's pretty crazy. I just meant it would be nice to be able to print a sandwich, with the bread already baked and the meat already cooked and a full piece of lettuce.

Why that may not be possible you can however embed multiple audio streams in moves and have different people be able to say plug in to a headset port in the movie theater seat and listen in a selected language. Not realistic or likely to happen either though, and the words would be off from the actors so it's still not going to be a great experience.

For movies and TV shows, I'd much rather have subtitles and the original audio. That way, you get the impact of the actors' performances and a translation (however good or bad it may be).
