Applegate farms is awesome. Gluten free, and they use probiotics to preserve their meat instead of nitrites/nitrates.

Nothing more IT-ish to ask than "what bacon is your favorite?" We've recently discovered an amazing brand of bacon that I'd love to share (just the info... not sharing my bacon!), so what's yours?

              Here's mine...

I' have to say...$42 for bacon is a bit much.. Even the 'Thick cup, 4 1 pound packages is a bit much.. I balk at $8 a pound... but that's still less that PettiJean

My grandfather used to get bacon straight from the butcher and smoked it. My father-in-law is still smokes his own bacon. No brand of bacon comes anywhere close to these.

I concur but some bacon is just bad.

                                That is VERY true.

Yeah we eat it very slowly. Worth the money but you don't go through it fast, that's for sure.

Peppered bacon? Why would you ruin perfectly good pig. Best bacon EVER? The ones that are fed nothing but dairy products for 2 months before being processed. I don't know of anything being sold in a store, but it's like bacon candy.

It actually isn't bad... my Sister-in-law is a vegan and most of the imitation stuff isn't too terrible. Not meat by any stretch but not bad either.

I preferred it to the nitrate infused "real" bacon even before I became a vegetarian. It's delicious.
